The name of the company, Cascina Corte, is taken from the farm-house situated at the centre of our vineyard. The remains of the house are the original structure, and it has been found situated on maps which date back to the middle of the 17th century. The house holds a lot of interest from an architectural point of view, and has been subject to a thorough restoration, in keeping with the original style
Cascina Corte is an organic farm, which we aim to use as a model for best organic production.
Wine making: Alcoholic fermentation in Amphora during 10-15 days Malolactic in Amphora. Aged in Amphora for between 9-10 months before bottling
Tasting Note: The color is dark ruby red, almost impenetrable, lively and captivating. The nose expresses the typical personality of the grape, capable of expressing a complex and intense bouquet of fruity (blackberry, black cherry) and above all spicy (vanilla, pepper) aromas. In the mouth the traditional acidity is the side of a voluminous and rich material. It ends long and characterful, with a pleasant return of the fruit.
