Appellation: Rheinhessen
Grapes Varieties: 100 % Siegerrebe
Tasting: German winemakers are admired by many of their colleagues from all over the world for this type of wine. The unique climatic conditions in autumn (cool, foggy nights in the river valleys and drying sunshine during the day) promote the formation of the noble mold botrytis, which causes the berries to dry out and thus increases the sugar and flavoring content of the grapes. Along with Riesling, the Siegerrebe is best suited to produce this noble sweet wine.
