The "little brother" of the Special Release Shiraz, the fruit coming from the same 6 acre "Old Clone" vineyard. A showcase of variety and terroir, with oak providing subtle support to the rich fruit weight in this wine. We think Halliday sums it up best by his comment that the wine is "a story in a glass".

Dense, deep crimson-purple colour is the first sign, spiced berry/plum aromas second, and the plush, powerful palate the third, replete with poached plum and blackberry fruits, licorice and ripe tannins fourth, the cuttings from century-old vines around Bendigo the final note. A story in a glass.
