Appellation: AOC Alsace
Grape Variety: 100% Gewurztraminer
Domaine Dirler-Cade is located in Alsace, in the small village of Bergholtz 3 km south-east of the small town of Guebwiller, and exactly halfway (25 km) from the cities of Colmar and Mulhouse. The estate founded in 1871 is passed down from father to son for 5 generations. Today, Jean Dirler and his wife Ludivine Cade operate 18 hectares of vines, 42% of which are classified Grand Cru (Saering, Spiegel, Kessler or Kitterlé).
The distinctive Gewurztraminer grape, with its characteristic pink grapes, benefits from the slightly warmer climate in the southern part of Alsace, and therefore also at Dirler. The grapes give aromatic, rich, ripe and floral wines. Magnificent!
A floral perfume, with exotic fruit, ginger and something peppery. The taste palette is balanced, pure and harmonious. The mouth is mild and supple and has notes of yellow fruit and apple and a pleasant spiciness. The aftertaste is beautifully fresh.
