Appellation: Bordeaux Supérieur
Grape Varieties: 100% Petit Verdot
After fifteen years in banking IT, Xavier Landeau decided in 1995 to change direction to take over the family estate, the legacy of four generations of winegrowers.
Dark, sappy, rich in tannins, flavors of black fruits Petit Verdot, an ancestral grape variety, particularly appreciated on our Ambès peninsula, has made the great reputation of Bordeaux wines since the 17th century. We reintroduced it to the estate in 1998. The vinification is gentle and short, the maceration period does not exceed ten days, for a dark, sappy wine, rich in tannins, with flavors of fruits and wild flowers. The wine is poured into new barrels, where it undergoes malolactic fermentation, which it will not leave for 18 to 24 months. The wine is bottled and then stored in ideal temperature conditions (between 15 and 17°C). |
